Free Search Engine Optimization Strategies

Author: Steve Shuttleworth

Welcome to my article, here you will find free search engine optimization strategies and tips in getting your website ranked high in the search engines

Firstly you need the keywords. You need keywords on your page that are relevant to that of the search term. The most important thing about this is so that when your visitors get to your page, they stay there! The second most important is that you will get ranked higher because of this. Google LOVES pages that are relevant to the search terms. Although this usually applies more to sponsored links, it also uses this method to rank pages higher on their free results.

In order to get ranked higher in Google you need to find out how much competition you have. Say for example your site is about Soccer Tips and it has videos with soccer tricks, tips and how to improve your game. You will need to be relevant to the actual search terms.

Go to Google now and type in ?soccer tips?

Make sure you type it with the speech marks, this will give you results of pages with that exact term, not the term get tips to play soccer, or tips on getting good at soccer but the exact term soccer tips.

Now, you should do that with several other phrases before starting work on your pages, I suggest you avoid terms too broad. For example, if you have a dating review site don?t bother with keywords such as ?Find Singles?, that wont get you anywhere with the competition. Instead use keywords such as ?Find Singles In Los Angeles? or ?Find Indian Singles? or even ?Find Indian Singles in Los Angeles?. With these you will easily get in the top few results pages on Google. You need to discreetly put the keywords in your page, bold it at least twice and put it in your URL as mysite.com/findindiansingles or whatever your keyword is.

Always remember this, you may not get many people searching for those terms, but they will stay once they get to your site because it is relevant to what they were looking for. Create a separate page for separate keywords, same layout and images but different keywords. This will help you to rise to the top of the search engines. If you do this with hundreds of keywords, you can easily get a good Page Rank.

I hope these strategies were helpful, for more information click here

Thanks
