Individuals who use web directories are looking to find website links which makes it more likely that one will gain visitors from posting on web directories.

Web Directories Do Not Require One to Post Competition on Their Website

An additional reason why posting a link on a web directory might be better than using reciprocal linking to do so is that with web directory posting, the website owner does not have to post a link to another website which may be competition for them. One who uses a web directory to advertise their website can do so without having to include a competitor?s information on their site.
