In my last dating tip we talked about being interesting. That's a Good Thing. Nothing drives women away like being BORED.

So today's tip is useful when you can't think of anything interesting to say.

Tip #4: Be interested.

More important even than being interesting - show you are interested in what SHE has to say. That means learning to listen - and to show you are listening by asking appropriate questions and using the right body language.

Nothing holds a woman's attention better than being listened to. This also gives you the opportunity to see if she is smart as well as attractive. It gives her an opportunity to show that she can hold an intelligent conversation. In my experience, that becomes more important the longer a relationship continues.

As someone said, you have two ears and one mouth, and that's the proportion in which you should use them.

Being a good listener is a key life skill and worth learning for its own sake. It will never do you any harm on dates. I never heard a woman complain that a man listened to her too much.
